Beginning:

A weekend creative writing retreat for women

January 10-12, 2025

This retreat is for women interested in a weekend of creative writing, reflection, connection, and play. Begin your new year with a commitment to your own creative journey in the company of others. The sessions will be designed so each person can either start a creative work or begin a new year of writing and creativity. At the end of our time together, we will each have new writing generated during facilitated sessions and a plan for continuing this – or other creative work – through the year.

Hummingbird Estate, 1677 Old Stage Road, Central Point

We will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, January 10 

and end at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 12.

Cost: $250 for the retreat, including all writing sessions, some materials, 

and simple dinners on Friday and Saturday evening. 

Limited lodging available: Hummingbird Estate has 5 rooms available at a discount for participants. Rooms are only $200 for both nights. Double occupancy is possible in some rooms.

Food: Hummingbird offers light breakfast snacks. You will have time to go out for lunch on Saturday or bring food to make your lunch. During the retreat, you will be able to purchase light food offerings, wine, and other beverages from Hummingbird.
